Tavasi is a group home serving twelve young men ages 13-17. These young men are voluntarily placed by their parents. How long they remain at Tavasi is determined by a variety of factors, including completion of an individual development plan and completion of specific academic goals. While this will vary by individual resident, it is expected that a 9-12 month length of stay will be average. Residents are admitted throughout the year.
Prior to coming to Tavasi residents are required to have successfully completed treatment in a more structured and secure setting (residential treatment center); however, they still need support and skills as they prepare to live the rest of their lives. These young men have recognized and addressed significant emotional and behavioral challenges while at a residential treatment program. Residents are not admitted directly from home or wilderness based programs.
